NY THOMPSON — Planning Board advances four major residential projects while approving Walmart expansion. The board granted a negative environmental declaration and site plan approval for Walmart's expansion at 41 Anawana Lake Road, with Consulting Engineer Matthew Sickler recommending coordination with the town's Water and Sewer Superintendent before relocating town-owned water lines. Four residential developments—Adelaar Townhouse Development at 777 Resorts World Drive, Empire Estates on Hamilton Road with 88 units, Noma Hills proposing 180 units on Old Route 17 in Harris, and Camelot Woods Phase 3 on Winston Drive—were scheduled for work sessions to allow detailed review.
The board also approved a one-year extension for Farsite Modification through May 28, 2027, approved a lot combination for Gregory Road, and advanced Keren Hatorah's site plan modification conditional on final engineering and building approvals.
