Planning Board Grants Concord Fairways Six-Month Extension

misc · Meeting of August 11, 2026

NY THOMPSON — Thompson Planning Board approves six-month extension for stalled 110-unit Concord Fairways development. The board unanimously extended Concord Fairways, a 110-unit residential development stalled by water supply issues, as the town tests a newly drilled well adjacent to the Kiamesha Water Plant. Consulting Engineer Matthew Sickler confirmed the town's well testing efforts.

The board also unanimously approved scheduling a July 8 scoping session for Estates at Rock Hill and a minor modification to Garden Hills Estates Unit 4. In a significant action, the board unanimously denied a site plan modification for Morningside Acres and referred it to the Zoning Board of Appeals due to DEC wetland jurisdiction constraints.
