NY THOMPSON — Thompson Planning Board schedules propane-tank hearing, approves test-well drilling. The board voted unanimously to refer Strongtown Storage's proposal to install four 30,000-gallon propane tanks at 1234-1240 Old Route 17, Ferndale, to the county for review and scheduled a June 24 public hearing; the tanks were originally included in an earlier approved site plan but removed after neighbor complaints. In other action, the board unanimously approved test-well drilling at Camp Shalva Expansion (624 Heiden Road, Monticello) and Old Liberty Estates (766 Old Liberty Road, Thompson), each contingent on town engineer approval and $2,500 bonds per well.

The board also unanimously approved a minor subdivision for Monticello Greenhouse Subdivision at 217 East Broadway, Monticello, and an oversized garage at 68 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, subject to homeowners association approval.
